At Aspire, we’re proud to support our Island community all year round — but right now, we’re calling on our supporters and local businesses to help us continue this vital work.
Last year, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community and the success of the Feed a Family at Christmas appeal on IOW Radio, we were able to make a huge difference. With your support, we fed 100 families over the festive season and provided enough resources to support another 100 families at Easter with food hampers, toys and essential hygiene products.
This year, we want to do even more.
As many of you know, the need doesn’t end after Christmas. Four days a week, all year round, we host community lunches at Aspire – offering a warm space and a hot meal for people who may be isolated, lonely or struggling with the cost of living. With rising costs and more people turning to us for support, continuing this service has become increasingly challenging.
That’s why we’re inviting local businesses to get involved and help us sustain this essential part of our work.
How sponsorship works
Businesses can choose to sponsor a day, a week, a month or even a whole year of community lunches.
Every contribution makes a real impact:
-
- £100 feeds 20 people for one day
- £400 feeds 80 people for a week
- £5,000 feeds 20 people every day for an entire year
As a thank you, we’ll name the sponsored day after the business (for example, “Smiths Luncheon”) and share their support on our website, Facebook and throughout our community buildings. Sponsors are also warmly invited to come along and see the impact of their support first-hand.
Want to get involved?
If you’d like to donate, tune in to Isle of Wight Radio on 16th December. We’ve also secured Aviva match funding who will match your donation up to £250!
If you’re a business – or you know one – who would like to help us continue feeding local people who need us, please contact Karen:
