Aspire Ryde would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the incredible volunteer team from Island Roads for their fantastic work at Wootton Church Close Community Centre.
A huge shoutout goes to Abby, Maddy, India, Caron, and Samantha, who generously gave their time and energy to help repaint and refresh the centre. Their hard work has completely transformed the space, giving it a bright, clean, and welcoming feel that will make a huge difference to all who visit.
Thanks to their efforts, we’re excited to announce that the Wootton Church Close Community Centre will officially open to the public on 1st September 2025. This newly revitalised space will become a vibrant hub for local people, hosting a wide variety of community activities, support groups, and exciting new projects.
From social clubs and health and wellbeing sessions to family activities and outreach support, we aim to make the centre a place where everyone feels welcome and connected. The transformation carried out by the Island Roads team has been a crucial part of helping us get to this point.
This kind of community partnership shows the real impact of volunteering and local support. We’re truly grateful to Island Roads and their brilliant team for helping us bring new life to this important community space.
Thank you for making a difference – we can’t wait to welcome everyone in September!
– From all of us at Aspire Ryde.
